How has your career path unfolded since graduating?
The IP field was pretty competitive and relatively frozen during COVID, so I pivoted to securities compliance for financial institutions. Similar level of attention and scrutiny to my work in the Innovation Center is required, so I was able to find satisfying work.

What law tasks do you perform in your current role?
Regulatory review and analysis, in-house testing and compliance, upkeep of company policies and procedures, training new hires and current firm members, and governmental agency responses and filings.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully, as the CCO of a financial firm such as Brevan Howard.
What is your favorite memory from law school?
Being able to leverage my education in the Innovation Law Center to an internship at the USPTO.
How has the Innovation Law Center prepared you for your career or current position?
Client relations and depth of analysis are crucial to my career, and most likely any career involving the law.
What does being a member of the SU College of Law alumni community mean to you?
It has been immensely helpful in my relocation and settling into NYC, and alumni events are something I look forward to.
Outside of your work as a lawyer, what are you passionate about?
Reading, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and debating whether Alanis Morrisette’s song “Ironic” is ironic because it does not contain any ironic situations.
What advice do you have for law students looking to enter your field?
Take the MPRE before the Bar.
